May 13, 2019

Bike riding, ice skating, driveway basketball, bowling, hiking and swimming are all fun family activities that you should encourage your children to take an active part in.

Sports are very important to a child's life and you should encourage your child to take an active part that will help them develop many skills and a healthy body and mind.

If your child does not care for team sports, then you should encourage them to take part in individual type activities such and swimming, golf, tennis and so on. Grandparents should also get involved and help encourage their grandchildren to take an active part in various activities.

Encourage your grandchildren to plan hikes or even evening walks with their grandparents which also will give them quality time together.

Drink plenty of water - get away from the sugar drinks which are not only bad for you, but also have become expensive. Especially consume plenty of liquids when taking part in strenuous activities.

School lunches are now being controlled and geared for a healthy diet and foods that are good for you and non-fattening,

Changing an eating habit is a difficult task and should be done gradually and not overnight. Be sure to make changes with your diet and eating habits step by step.

For instance, add a fruit for your dessert instead of something sweet and a new vegetable week to week. Let the child have some control and suggestions on setting up healthy lunches or dinners and letting them choose different foods.

Until next month.
